Yes, I think Shack's "other" scenario has a pretty good shot at resolving.

Despite the current pull-back, gold stocks don't look finished on the upside. That tells me the bond market isn't ready to bounce yet. Gold up, bonds down, dollar hanging by its fingernails together would say that general equities get one more shot.

QQQ set-up looks bearish, eh? Maybe the big surprise will be that the market tanks when everyone leasts expects it ... Dec and Jan. I doubt we see much down before Nov, just because the big boys will want wait for those LT cap gains off the Oct '02 lows. No tax advantage to holding longer than Jan 2, however.

Until then ... pass the tequila.
