They've got total confidence in their extensive list of manufactured influence on the Americans, from suddenly-discovered WMDs that are as Powell said this morning, "Just In Time" factories, which can be dummied up from anything industrial-looking, to blowing up a city, to simply creative reports of threats of blowing up cities.

It won't work, tho'.

That doesn't keep them from trying, the best mind-f* campaign that a trillion taxpayer dollars can buy. I saw 5 minutes of the "911" propaganda movie made for Bush this morning, absolutely laughable. Shows Bush making all these command decisions, with Rumsfeld taking notes, lol! Incredible. But they'll sell some weak-minded people and create polarization, all of which they figure to profit from.

Bush is nothing w/o terrorism to hold on to the deep pockets of the US Treasury. Terrorism is what they do, it's all they do.

Or for that matter anyone who suggests such a libelous and inflammatory possibility on a public forum LOL!

Political domestic assassination is tricky business. It has to be sufficiently deniable to prevent a snowball investigation, but public enough and questionable enough to put fear into one's enemies. The ruthless Troskyites followed Mao's dictum, "kill one, scare a thousand".

Of course with sufficient media control it's not so tricky. You just tell everyone everything's all right, and make whatever excuses you wish, even changing your excuses if you get caught, to a different excuse! No problem. You put the fear of death into your enemies, and as long as the American people think everyone else is buying the lies, they'll get restless, but won't revolt.

At least for now
