No problem, except as always the best judge is personal experience[]. Im what French would call catholique non-practiquant, and my neighbour is a protestant (lutheran) and the couple on the other side is I guess agnostic. These attributes get a dangerous connotation only, when the atmosphere lets them (see for instance Nazi times here in Germany, or Haiti in classical period after independence).
