You may be right, about correct tactics, and guns at weddings. By the time the Vietnamese were fighting Americans, they had been practicing on French and Japanese for years, and had their technique down. Iraqis don't have that experience, not yet. All their recent lessons have been conventional wars, and they never got very good at them, no matter how much practice they got. Unless they get some Hezbollah or Afghans to come in and give them tutorials, they are going to have to learn the hard way. What kind of culture brings automatic weapons to weddings?
