Actually I think you are looking for Sam is a direction on gold and yes it appears it is a very timely investment. Just incase you are concerned about the motivation of this board I have written from what direction I and I think others on this board are coming from. Our nation was built by very average people who found in working together they created more opportunity for all. You can't help but admire the people who came here from all countries in the world. They were not given free dollars but freedom to achieve and that worked so well they attempted to share the concept with all the world. Fear is a method of control that uses the concept if you take an apple from a tree that is not yours I will cut off your hand I lose you lose. Free is a more like if i see you are taking an apple from my tree I will take the time to show you how to grow your own tree. That helps me because i don't have to keep guarding my apples and sever your limbs so we both are in better shape. When one is busy prospering they don't have as much time to argue. I gain you gain and we learn how to trust each other. In order to find solutions to problems the problems first must be voiced. Is there a problem here? Yes when a company makes no profit and the CEO is paid beyond belief. The question becomes do you redefine the definition of the word company as soul proprietor? Do you redefine laws so they comply with the needs of one person ? Then you ask how can this happen as income is the result of total operations not an income for one. The answer starts to look like this is my tree I am not in the orchard business. If you think about nations rich in oil they should be the most wealthy nation in the world they have a product the whole world buys. They are in the singular family tree business. It is by means of the orchard that we all can proper. So this board is composed of a bunch of people praying that apples start to fall from heaven and in doing so pave the way for a better world. We see the problems we just hope to heck a few of the Gods do and we are non sectarian here so any and all Gods will do. Altruistic bunch of plebeians looking up and praying up sore heads and sore knees.

Hello Sam. I can see your heart is in the right place, and I apologize if I came on kind of strong. Yes the US has done a lot of good in the past, and is populated with many many well meaning bright people. In Canada, we often complain about the overbearing US influence in all facets of life, but we also recognize that if we had to have a neighbour, we would be hard pressed to find a better one. So, you see, we are not praying for an economic failure, although we may see something akin will happen if the path and the trends aren't reversed. And, that is a function of leadership, leadership in government, leadership in corporate matters, and the leadership and credibility of public figures as being examples of high morals & corruption free. These days are days of deception and spins. Everyone seems to be doing it, and as for me, I try to see what is really going on. If the US economy fails, world-wide disaster will result. I don't wish for that. I wish for a change in policy and attitude to prevent it. But no one is listening, so all we can do is observe and report our observations. The worst thing anyone can do is to do nothing when you think something is wrong. The internet, for what it's worth is simply a discussion forum, an interchange of thoughts & ideas. And there are some thoughtful concerned individuals posting on various threads.
