Yes, we have the same thing here. Grocery bills go up and up for the customers --- and the farmers are going out of business because they can't make a living. Sure looks to me like the cause of the problem is the "middle-man" --- and the gov.

Indeed, and similar to the groceries, we have the same problem as you have. SA also used to make textiles and clothing etc. In fact that's the kind of industry which suits a Third World country like mine. Anyway, the local costs are too high and so the industries are closing down and now we also have to buy "Made in China". Meanwhile, SA has 50% unemployment. Next year will be 60%. So what?!

Hard to understand what is going on.
