Fairy Tales.

In part it is due to a press who have resigned themselves to not reporting stories, preferring to repeat whatever has been told to them.
It is not just the Mid-East and the US, I see it here in the UK and Europe. It is not a question of a free press, rather a bone-idle press.
We continuously have opinions presented as fact. We are fast approaching rumours dressed up as fact.
The media makes absolutely no effort in researching, and obtaining facts objectively.

Here is a little test that I use.
Take a story that you have first hand knowledge of. Estimate how truthful it is, say as a %. When you apply this factor across all the stories you read you will end up reading comic books as they are at least more entertaining.

Yup, never let the facts get in the way of a good story!
