It appears that you are discounting this portion of the statement:

"...for many victims, realizing that they are harmed and that the therapist was the cause of their harm takes years."

You stated that they could just stop using the services of a masseur. But, if they initially repressed or suppressed the incident this would not necessarily be the case.

It is likely that every situation is unique. For example: Let's say the young female initially came on to the therapist who responded amorously. A few years later when she herself is at a professional age she realizes that the masseur acted unprofessionally and begins to experience some of the tramma previously mentioned.
