I only call into question the notion that a progressive income tax makes the rich pay their "fair share." Huffington is rich, isn't she?

I am lost. Did she not pay her fair share of taxes on the money she earned in the period in which she earned it? If what she earned was taxed when she earned it, what point is it that you are trying to make?

The deficit is a red herring.

LOL...now that's funny.

Not one politician talks about balancing the budget, because they all know in tough economic times, a balanced budget can only be achieved by reduced government spending, something no Democrat believes in.

That's funny too. With the WH, congress and senate in republican hands, it is hilarious that you would make reference to democrats on the state of the budget and spending.

The deficit is a red herring.

A half trillion dollars is a mighty big herring. I think the deficit is more like a killer whale! ;~)
