Saddam only supported Palestinian terrorists, as do the Saudis. Not Al Qaida which was against Saddam and his secularism.

Rice and Cheney are lying when they claim the Al Qaida connection. The only evidence is some Al Qaida figures going to Iraq for medical care or for meetings more than ten years ago. The Taliban type tribe up north was on the lawless Iranian border, no doubt to escape Saddam if he came after them. There is no evidence they cooperated with Saddam. And the Mohammed Atta story has been thoroughly debunked.
