Al, the disproportionate victims of the bush lousy economy are the poor...they suffer through job losses, poorer wages, fewer choices.

I agree. The best way to improve conditions for the poor is to revive the economy, and across-the-board tax cuts are an excellent way to do just that.

Targeted tax cuts might sound good for political sound bites, but they don't return enough money to the economy to make a difference. No surprise, given that the bottom three-quarters of wage earners only pay 16% of income taxes.
