Bush has not helped the economy with his policies. He gives us the greatest-ever national debt and has spent huge amounts but not created jobs, instead, he's lost more than 3 million and growing. Very few people believe he is doing a good job on the economy, or even a fairly good one. And even those who believe he has must be blind. We'll survive, but we're not going to prosper with the Bush policies in place. If not for defense spending we'd still be in a recession. And all the defense spending is now debt.
