I have mixed signs for the open,
and I'm flat.
( except for my core holdings )
which I often hedge off, but are not
hedged right now.
But any way my day & position trades
are all cash for now.
---
Some days it just pays to sit by and watch,
and unless things change tomorrow is shaping
up like a just watch day for me.
Taht can change if I see something I'm not looking
for.
---
Basically on my short term trading I stay with
the QQQ, sometimes I play the SMH..
There are 3 key stocks I watch against what the
NDX or SOX is doing.
MSFT , CSCO, & INTC..I glance at some others but
not enough to lose focus in those 3..( when I'm
long or short )
---
The cap size of those 3 drives the NDX..
so with real time streaming quotes
I get a fix on them, and watch for anomalies
--
Like the other day the qqq was going up..
MSFT was up, INTC was up...but not on heavy
volume..however CSCO had the volume that day..
and it was trailing..ah the high volume of the
3 is trailing...I bailed out..and sure enough
late in the day it all crashed.
So even though 2 of the 3 were up good, the high volume
of the trailer said distribution.
---
It's like if one of the key 3 has "LOTS" of above
average volume..and a lot more than the other two
it's telling me what's about to happen..
is it leading or trailing..
When the volume of the three just about match
it's hard for me to get a reading.
---
But this crap can change in a day, or even during
the day..lately I've not been able to see very
far ahead..and most times it's like trying to
look through a soap stone.

I hate when that happens!

Another day has arrived?
NAS100

I think the SP100 most over-valued index.
