ot/Pappy. Yes, the old SD thread had it's periods of good

ideas and constructive give and take.

But in it's final year it ran into problems with cheerleaders and pom pom wavering perma bulls who became increasingly intolerant of good calls of important tops.

It's the nature of markets that only a very few get it right at major turning points. But, the volatile under currents finally came to a head in January of 2001 when Slider and I called a major top. Instead of giving our view in Jan of 2001 the serious consideration, and discussion it deserved? The response we got from a handful of contentious posters was hostile and increasingly combative.

So, Slider and I found ourselves one side and with the perma bulls - on the other. Over the period of 1-2 weeks, they resorted more and more to cheap shots and personal attacks when we refused to knuckle under to the perma bull party line. Finally a giant food fight erupted that went on for weeks and finally wrecked that thread.

But, that's history and we've come a long way since then. So let's move on.

How are you positioned in this wild n' crazy market Pappy? TIA.

All the best,

Isopatch
