Amb. Joseph Wilson published his op-ed piece on the Niger yellowcake story on July 6th in the NY Times. Eight days later, Robert Novak outted Victoria Plame. It was a direct quid pro quo. The White House is rightly embarrassed by this blatant move on Karl Rove's part.

Wilson is someone who is extremely careful in his words and behavior. He's lately been quoted as hoping to see Karl Rove 'frog marched out of the White House in handcuffs'. This story has legs, hopefully.
