I read Frum's 'Dead Right' a few years ago. When writing about the people who urged Pat Buchanan to make a presidential run he said, [paraphrasing] "The Estates General of the Buchanan for President movement are members of the John Randolph Club. Randolph was a member of the House in the early 19th century who railed against big government, then went insane." A tad dismissive, I'd say.

The DaVinci Code is a fun read, but if you want the real low down on the subject matter, check out Holy Blood, Holy Grail.
