Hello Maurice, <<... Xenophobic protectionist economic ignorance combined with militaristic mindset aggression is fatal>>

... precisely, assuredly, and exactly my point as well.

Haim does not realize it yet, but the foundation stone of my TeoTwawKi to-be, the corner-rock of my TPonRr up ahead, and the anchor of my inevitability of right over might rest on people who holds similar views as he apparently does (again, if I misunderstood his thesis, I apologize in advance), leading us pass the familiar, the beast that jumps out at each difficult juncture, the recurring 'Final Solution' crowd, and so enabling entry to a new world beyond TeoTwawKi, and a better world that is fair, just, tolerant, and at peace.

Thankfully, the multinational coalition of enlightened, astute and free-willed private investor electorates are voting correctly with their private funds, and their votes are more powerful and relevant than any and all narrowly defined domestic interest groups of any and all countries, bar none.

These cultishly unthinking narrowly defined domestic and ultimately irrelevant interest groups, along with any sheeple who just tag-along like lemmings chained together like a gigantic charm bracelet will be no match for what is right, just, and light, phragmented and otherwise Q-ed up :0)

Down with Fascism! And save private Haim, for he may be lost in the desert of civilization ;0)

Chugs, Jay

<<It's disconcerting to see even one person coming up with such ideas>> One person or two here in this thread, but it has been discussed in US inner circle. Probability is remote, but the possibility does exist and the risk is much too high, at least for now.

Imagine one rising from the ashes independently, and what rises is a huge dragon with such a huge consumer market as well as the world's lowest producer and also capable to produce and develop anything it wants to focus on. What's the rest of the developed world look like by comparison? What happens when it reaches the stage of the largest economy and GDP? What is the max pain treshold for the onlookers?

One the other side of the equation is the lack of long term planning and long term smart strategy to counter the development and transition to the transformation. It also requires participation to the maximum advantage, not strategies and relationships of the past. How to keep up and maintain the edge? The time window for such steps has been wasted and gone away, and is soon to be forever gone.

The one strategy known and has been practiced in the last century is by oppression and suppression of any potential threat of present domination. Such has been long practiced and perfected in ME also. So when all else has failed and max pain treshold is reached, what can and what has the US done before? Nooke? Or wmd's?

>>I want to understand them and see how many like-minded people there are. <<

I am not a US citizen, but I have stayed here long enough, read and heard enough, to say something about this. There are plenty of like-minded people like him here in the US. Although now the condition has not completely ripe yet. Wait another a decade or two, after many baby boomers find out they have to work until they drop because all their retirement money has been squandered away, after the health care industry bankrupts the US economy, and after the living standard for the majority of Americans stalled or go down-hill, then, all it takes is a Hitler-like figure to call upon them. Ignorance has always been here, and this won't change. So the majority will follow.
