I have posted several times about reports I received DIRECTLY from intelligence officers (one in the AirForce one in the Army) that are friends of ours and who have returned from Iraq recently and whom I have personally interviewed. What they told me, and what I posted here in the past is exactly what is SLOWLY beginning to come to light, particularly on some of the FOX NEWS broadcasts. That is that Iraq is not NEARLY so dim as the news media would have you believe.
In summary, I have been told and reported here that most of the media reporters stay in one hotel in Baghdad. The dissidents know that and gather in front of the hotel to protest. The media films it, interviews them and reports it as if it represented the ENTIRE COUNTRY. Without going into the details over again, I have been told things going well and that Americans and George Bush are VERY POPULAR THERE with on officer telling me OUR president Bush could easily be elected PRESIDENT OF IRAQ if he ran there. jdn

The Washington Times has little credibility. There is no more partisan newspaper in the US that I know of. I wouldn't be quoting them. They were in on the WMD's and Al Qaida link lies boosting the Bush unilateralism doctrine.
