Mark Twain said once: "I hear they have a law against adultery too... but I don't see where it has moderated it any." I, too, don't see any decline in lying out of Washington. What's amazing to me is that the 'headlines' seem to have just discovered this... and that the 'headlines' are focused on the lies leading up to the Iraq war, while I believe the lies embeded in the annual budget projections are more egregious. Said lies were, no doubt, considered necessary during the tax debates.
