I believe they're signaling that they're "available" though it's pretty well established that everyone is "available" for the right price. They may already have a serious suitor in the wings and are getting set for serious negotiations. Something is in the works, IMO, and maybe hiring the investment banker is simply a way of putting an outsider's imprimatur on it as a way of covering management's already decided course of action/deflection of blame if shareholders end up not liking what it about to occur. Call me a cynic but these days that's a respectable thing to be. Dee Jay
