Definitely, we will never agree. But it does need to be pointed out, Bill, that (a) the Reps ranted and raved about Clinton as an illegitimate president because he didn't get over 50% (I'll never forget the Dick Armey quote about "your president"); and (b) the problem with Bush is his policies, a much more significant problem than Clinton's mistakes, which were personal.

As for Brooks' columns, I'm still reading them. I don't think he's found his voice yet but these last two suggest he's getting close. It's that whiny voice of "we are more moral than everyone else."
