He did not take out Saddam because:
1) The coalition would have fractured immediately;

2) There was no support in Congress for a long occupation;

3) He expected a palace coup, which was foiled, to take care of the problem.

You did not answer my question. I think that if the United States is a democracy, Iraq will be democracy.

They are Ba'athist loyalists, remnants of the Saddam Fedayeen, members of terrorist groups already involved with Iraq, and terrorists of other stripes crossing the borders.
