Funny how ordinary candidates are now crucified for every utterance, but it took Bush months to admit that part of the State of the Union - one of the most massaged, tweaked and triple-cleared and -reviewed orations known to mankind - contained flat out lies.

I still don't see how this process elects the best candidate to grapple with relevant issues. But a lot of bright kids go to journalism school these days and end up feverishly ferreting our Lexus-Nexus quotes they can claim are now "news"......

And so it goes.
