A nice post.

I have a bit of a bias here -- my grandfather was a medical missionary in China, serving as a medical doctor in Chentu under the auspices of the Friends Foreign Mission Association. So I was brought up with stories of the valuable work that missionaries, particularly those in the medical field, could provide to countries without adequate ability to provide health care internally. China has moved forward since then (1905), but many other countries still have desperate needs which in many cases faith based organizations are best able to provide.

It's nice that someone recognizes these contributions. And thank you for posting this.
