Lizzie, I remember you posting a while ago about how Larry Ellison had dumbed down the role of database administrator or something like that. Well, I just started learning the new features of Oracle9i (vs. Oracle8) and I have to say that Oracle has certainly made a lot of changes to make database administration easier. While I don't necessarily agree that the job has been dumbed down (if that's what you said), there will definitely be less administrators needed for the same number of databases.
