Yep. But the internal machinations will be something else. At the moment, his ties to Novak and the reluctance of the Bush people simply to get it behind them suggests something like that. I can imagine a scenario in which he gets carried away in a chummy talk with Novak because he's angry, as they all are, at Wilson, and forgets the limits. But then why follow up with phone calls to other journalists? Perhaps to take the focus off Novak's column but that's genuinely dumb because it gets other reporters in the loop. Curious. But the media is in full court press right now and a lot of stuff will happen.
