Financialsense has a discussion about the Kodak moment last week and the role that recycled silver plays in the total silver supply. Of course they have been extrememly bullish on silver over the last two years and feel that it is a better investment than gold because of their perceived supply demand imbalance.

Tim Morgan stated that net use of silver <100 million oz photography, 260million oz jewelry, 350 million oz industrial applications. Photographs uses 255 million oz, but scrap silver from photography provides 190 million oz scrap. So if photographic uses decline, so will scrap silver supply.
