I did in fact sell about 40% of Greystar yesterday and was satisfied with the price I got ($1.59 US, which was more than twice what I paid and recovered virtually all my basis). At this point, however, it looked to me that the best speculation I follow is a natural gas stock, Royale Energy, which quadrupled for me the last time California had an energy crisis. Don't expect that this time, but ROYL does produce mostly inside the state and can charge whatever the going price for gas happens to be, and during price spikes that can be very high; with the early onset of cold weather, NG seems likely to be squeezed again before long.
