Yeah, looks like we both made out on TGA! Actually I'm not adverse to short term flips. Sold my 5.55 position in the AM, and this was a buy back. If we drop again tomorrow I'll jump out and look for a re-entry. Have been like a deer in the headlights with DEZ, missed much of the move. Decided to try to avoid that with SLW so jumped back in today ~7.60. We'll see.

I haven't been watching the markets in this detail for very long. Is this pattern or 'feel' seem like a top or just a pause to you?

AE - pretty sure I don't understand the unique set of facts in this case, however I have to wonder if you have ever considered an account with IB? Seems like one could consolidate the FOREX, .TO, .V. stock and bond trading under one umbrella and avoid numerous accounts?

AE - IB is Interactive Brokers. Through their Trader Work Station (TWS) one can trade the world!

I won't snow you; there will be some start-up anxieties as one learns how to use the TWS. But the speed of execution, lower commission rates, ability to place bracket orders and 'all-in-one' location are worth the effort.

The IB Universal Account allows you to trade multiple products around the world from a single account. You can trade stocks, options, futures, Forex, bonds, and Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) all from the same Trader Workstation screen, and your transaction history and positions are all reported on a single statement.

Trading around the world is simple, because you are not required to open accounts in multiple currencies. Deposit a single currency in an account and when you want to trade a product denominated in another currency, a loan is created which is secured by your deposited currency. If you wish to eliminate the loan, you may do so at any time by trading currencies through our IB IDEAL network or depositing money in another currency. You will find that our currency exchange rates are better than retail banks or exchange rates offered by the credit card companies.

Additionally one can set up an Advisor/Friends & Family account to manage multiple separately managed accounts.

Interesting article on IB's roots:

Disclosure: obviously I trade with IB. So far it is the best platform I have used, though CyberTrader isn't bad [I'm too cheap to pay for the full upgrade 250/mo, tho].

Hope this helps. Let me know what you think after looking over IB.

LOL!

I found her problem, right here....

Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Kilroy grew up as the daughter of a pipefitter, and went on to receive her bachelor's degree from Cleveland State University

She's not even a "native!" <ggg> [We'd like her better if she went to Franklin U!]

Bet Chalmers Wylie is turning in his grave!

I'd give TGA some time to shake out those that were playing the wildcat prospect. Certainly TGA is undervalued here but sans a bull market in the oil sector does not seem to be able to attract investors. They will be drilling a second wildcat well which should spud soon.

I don't get the drop as TGA announced in its CC that the well had a 10% chance of success.

A second dry hole could drive even more investors out so I'd play that with a close stop!

Good luck!

Ooops. Not trying to step on any toes, just wanted to share some expanded insight into the situation and add some positive spin. That should be a good one if it can overcome the shadow of the past.

Either age is getting to me or the search engine provided is missing something, but I only come up with a half dozen at vssp with MBAs and none listing va in academia. rah fits the best...
