Hmmm...I don't know what 5-star seasoning is. We have a Chinese 5 spice which has ginger, cinnamon, cloves, fennel seed and other. I have not seen 5 star... I suspect that the 5 star has pepper, salt, onion powder, garlic, etc....let me know what is in it if you have one handy. "I think X was talking about cloves of garlic" OH! I'm relieved! I did not think that cloves was the thing in pepper soup, but I did not want to appear supercilious. <g>
