There is no doubt Wilson's wife was running a covert operation on WMD's. 1972? I don't know. I think I read he was married then, but I guess not, something else happened in 1972. Maybe he graduated from college. In any case, the woman was what they're saying she is, or else the CIA would not be demanding an investigation and none of this would even be an issue. Only Bushie political operatives are questioning it to protect Bush and because Novak's trying to wriggle out from blame by being coy with his words. If you read Novak's words carefully, you'll see he never denies it. He just says nobody from the WH "called" him. But he admits meeting a high-level administration person. So it was face to face and not over the phone. Big deal. Typical DC double-speak.
