This idea of getting Christians to focus on present-day Israel as "it is written in the Bible" is thought provoking. What if the nations of the world were to align against Israel? Most who study prophecy or listen at all to pastors are expecting this to happen. They think the Bible calls for this. They also believe that it is only the TRUE God who steps in to defend Israel. What if it is Satan who defends Israel with mighty "miracles" that seem to be manipulating nature itself? There has been tons of secret research into controlling weather, etc. Suppose the great armies of China and Russia and several of the Middle East are defeated soundly by what appears to be earthquakes, tornadoes, floods, meteors? It would not be that far a stretch for Christians to believe these were "heavenly" signs for the whole world to see. Then, perhaps a televised "decension" for the entire world to witness could usher in the "King" both Israel and Christians are looking for. It would be an easy sell for "God" to decide to set up an earthly kingdom and get everyone to worship him. For me, I will only be looking for God to split the heavens when He returns. Every eye will see Him, and it won't take television or the internet to make it happen. Remember, unless you step out your front door and see Him coming through the clouds at the same time those on the other side of the world see the same, then it is NOT Jesus. I must admit that I have been watching the "signs" happen just as current thinking interprets the Bible. It IS happening, but it may be the deception actually happening and fulfilling that part of Scripture -- the fooling of the very elect. Interesting. I remain, SOROS
