I wouldn't make much of a distinction between what you are calling "private life" and business. in our business lives, where we really NEED things- like jobs, and lodging, and doctors What about businesses that provide things that we don't really need. I suppose someone could say that they really need palm readings or pet rocks or fuzzy dice but that claim seems as weak as someone saying they need to be a member of a private club or that they need to have some other private social interaction.
