But please, no more of that we're-the-only-adult-in-a-room-full-of-children nonsense. Well, seriously speaking, it does depend on whether we're really fighting terrorism and whether the threat is serious enough to require a war. If it is, then fighting to remove any terrorist havens that we can makes sense. If it isn't, then it doesn't. That's the basic question. The Europeans seem to think it doesn't - when they are following any policy guidelines more elaborate than "America is the real threat! Stop America!"
