It's not the law, it's what the law represents- a consensus of opinion, going back 100's of years. You can try to minimize that- but you've got a rather different minority opinion on this- which is fine, but goes against the weight of many thinkers (because the educated make the laws). Sometimes you seem to realize that yours is a minority opinion, and then in a post like this, it seems you do not. Go figure It has nothing to do with things being right because the law says they are. That's your straw man. You keep him.
