Ted,

Bush is disliked because he's not very bright
Not very politically correct of you. <g>
That will be 2 Hail Mary's for you, I mean 2 "We shall overcome".

He gives the impression of being religiously devout but I was watching when he and Cheney cursed on tv because they thought the mikes were off.......religious people usually don't curse esp. in public.

Since when is "asshole" a curse word? It is kind of border line to me, kind of like BS, but what do I know, I am only a student of English language.

I don't think Bush is an ideologue but he represents a group of ideologues...
...We need more Clintons, Deans and McClintocks

Not knowing a lot about California politics, my take is that McClintock is the most ideologically pure, while Clinton, Dean and Bush are pragmatists. And guess what? All 3 were elected governors, more than once, 2 of the 3 were elected president, and Dean has a decent shot at least at the nomination.

The presidency should not cost $150 million. It should cost no more than 1/15 of that amount and no party should be able to spend more than a set figure. Better prequalifications wouldn't hurt either.

Clinton, Bush and Dean distinguished themselves by being able to raise money. Maybe there could be a better pre-qualification, but absent a better one, this is what we have.
