You proposed the Paternalistic thing as a comment on me and my personality and associated it with mojo.

You said the guy's name was Mohammed. I think it reasonable to assume that he was, if not religious, then at least from an Islamic background. What do I know about Islamic backgrounds and attitudes about women but what I've learned from you? Would it not be reasonable for me to take what you told us about your thinking and apply that to Mojo. I have no other way of filling in those particular blanks. It's not like I discuss women's issues with dozens of Muslim men. Yet you fussed at me about that. Here I was trying to serve as an apologist for Mojo by giving him a cultural rationale and you just fussed at me. You'd rather he be thought a bigot or puerile? Those were the alternatives in play at the time I introduced the cultural one. I was trying to be helpful. I may have assessed that incorrectly, but my approach was not unreasonable.

You ignored it too and that was disappointing to me. I pushed you to give it some thought and you continued to avoid it.

Had I said anything about it, it would have been you were changing your scenario in the face of criticism. I chose not to weigh in on that.
