I'm not talking about the law here but the principle behind the law. I think the law is pretty clear except perhaps at the margins, and a sign that says "No Women", doesn't seem like being at the margin to me. If he put up the sign he would not be making a commitment to provide service to the people he didn't want to provide services to, so he would not be failing to honor his commitment. I would under those circumstances say that he is not causing harm because he is not doing anything to the people who might claim harm. Tim
