I remembered trying to get a job back then...it was the primary reason I stayed in and got my Masters...though there were great music and films from that era...

It wasn't all bad; that was the period when the metals hit their peak prices, and, when interest rates peak, you can get long term high yield bonds; I got Zeros that are paying 15+% on the original cost. (And I already had my home loan, which made a big difference),
