No, the point is that these transit boondoggles are very wasteful of those taxpayer dollars you are so delighted to contribute. Roads and highways, as you yourself noted, receive heavy usage and are worth the expense to the public. when all the folks refusing to pay for transportation are the same people using the services. I'm sorry. You have a wrong number. I don't use public transit. Tell me: Do you take the train or bus to work? If not, why not? Caltrain does run from San Mateo to Palo Alto and there are busses at both ends.
