Because it is a sports show, not a political show.

I'm not sure Limbaugh's statement was a "political" statement. It certainly was pertinent.

Can you tell me what is wrong with his statement:

"I think what we've had here is a little social concern in the NFL. The media has been very desirous that a black quarterback do well," Limbaugh said on "Sunday NFL Countdown."

"There is a little hope invested in McNabb, and he got a lot of credit for the performance of this team that he didn't deserve. The defense carried this team," he said.

Sounds pretty football-related to me; ESPN hired the guy to do commentary and I don't see anything in this statement that is either racist or impertinent.

Mani, Because it is a sports show, not a political show.

Rush isn't being criticized for bringing up politics. He's being criticized for bringing up race. Had he said that McNabb was overrated because he was a Democrat (or an active veteran or whatever), no one would care.
