Actually I it was Albert Einstein's contribution to cosmology; "Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a persistent one." John Gribbin's books do a good job of explaining the advanced theories. The problem is with the deeper understanding insanity will fallow. So I've decided to hold on to my illusions :^) Anyways, two of his good books are The Search for Superstrings, Symmetry, and the Theory of Everything and Schrodinger's Kittens and the Search for Reality: Solving the Quantum Mysteries. In case you are interested.
