Hi Darfot, the $5k is inaccurate as presented and is not straight from the BLS.

The "best-skilled engineers in India" do not "make $500/mo." Nor, "$5k/yr."

( The average wage of an Indian worker (textile, rice, etc.) is from BLS and is accurate. )

If you reread the article, you'll note the $5k is presented as such from the reporter, not the BLS. The reporter used it to make the inaccurate statement that "it's as high as 10X's the national average." It's not as high as 10X's the national average, because it ($5k) is an inaccurate figure as presented.

What made you think the reporter's $5k, as presented, came from the BLS. Also, why do you think the reporter's information is correct? Avoid the spin reporters.

Regards,
Amy J
