It shows at best an insensitivity and a callousness, does it not? And I will remind you that you were not making an observation about the difficulty of getting into a bag of peanuts. Your observation was intended to cause offense. It was the extremely derogatory "observation" that HR workers were "insincere, condescending, and manipulative." Presumably you intended something by that derogatory "observation".
