Novak claims he went to the WH to find out why they appointed a Dem partisan to investigate the WMD claim. The WH told him it was because the guy's wife at CIA pushed him. If the wife had been telling friends, neighbors and assorted cocktail party acquaintances that she worked as an energy analyst at the CIA (as Wilson says today in the NYT), where is the crime?

No, that's not what I said. Perhaps you and John need to take an elementary reading course.

For the umpteenth time, I said that there's no proof that a criminal violation has taken place, particularly as those who are certain that one has occurred have no idea as to what the standard of behavior is. Evidently, you are included within that not insignificant group of the ignorant. "Often wrong but never in doubt" should be written in your heraldic shield.

I've said it's wrong and against all we stand for as citizens of a formerly great country to conclude at this stage of things that a crime has been committed. I've said that it would help all the folks around here who think (and convict) with their viscera instead of their brains to read the statute and reflect on its purpose, instead of blowing it out of their collective cloacas.
