"Nobody in the Bush administration called me to leak this." - Novak The Bush administration is pinning it's hopes on deflecting the investigation of the Wilson CIA leak to a narrow technicality. Karl Rove is not on the White House payroll. He is technically not in the administration but a mere "advisor" on Bush's personal payroll (or maybe the RNC). Various officials parse their words very carefully to imply that nobody working for the White House leaked this information, but of course Karl is not working for the White House, he just happens to hang around there a lot.
