But none started a war..........I'm sure you understand the huge difference.

None of them escalated the war by making an actual invasion, but in a very real sense we have been in a low level war with Iraq from the time Kuwait was invaded until Baghdad fell (and we are still in a low level war with elements in Iraq). All of them made comments supporting that war, and Clinton actually ordered attacks as part of that war. Clinton ordered bombing and missile strikes on Iraq, I would call that waging war.

Your points have some validity but don't justify a pre-emptive attack on Saddam. Clinton ordered military actions only to keep Saddam in line and in compliance with the UN resolution after the first Gulf War. No, it was not a war although it was war like. There is a huge difference between what Clinton did and what Bush has done.

I realize there's a purpose for the conservative's militaristic/paranoid mindset.....I suspect its built into the gene pool. It has its place in civilization. However, in this instance, it went beyond the call of duty. The proof is in the pudding.

As a consequence, I believe we need to rethink our priorities and our role in the world. I think we have to put in stronger checks in place to prevent future presidents from starting an unnecessary war. This war will cost us in many different ways.......lives, money and lost prestige in the world. It will make the US and its interests more susceptible to terrorist attack. It has put us into unnecessary danger. In the end, Bush will be vilified for his role.
