Ted, one more thing. Earlier this year, Dusty Baker of the Cubs said that blacks and Latinos play better in warm weather than whites. He received his fair share of criticism, but not from the usual suspects like the NAACP, or Howard Dean for that matter.

Who criticized Baker?

BTW he may be right. Its been proven scientifically that people's breathing worsens in warm weather and that can effect someone's playing. Presumably blacks and Latinos can do better in warmer weather because many of them originated in warmer climes. When I was a lifeguard......the white kids would show up to swim when the temps got above 75º; the black kids above 90º. Anecdotal but it proved to be true for three summers.
