'. Wilson had become a vocal opponent of President Bush's policies in Iraq after contributing to Al Gore in the last election cycle and John Kerry in this one.' I watched The News Hour with Jim Lehrer the other night.... Interestingly....it appears Wilson..aside from contributing to Gore's campaign... Also contributed to George Bush's... $2000 in fact....... Novak's omission of this bit of information is Telling.... Additionally........ Novak wonders why Wilson was given this assignment....... Wilson..a 30 year career gov employee... had received high praise from GHWB........ for his efforts in successfully gaining the release of our Diplomatic Staff in Iraq just prior to GW1........ Wilson...(the Last American Diplomat to actually talk to Saddam.....) was hailed a Hero..by those who regained their Freedom due to his efforts........ Novak..would have us accept his slippery slope logic that Wilson was sent to Niger to embarrass the WH.......... He reported The Facts........ No yellow cake was bought or shipped..... Wilsons 'agenda' was to shine a bit of light on the truth..... I doubt Novak... would allow his 'work' to be bent...spindled..or mutilated to fit someone elses Objectives..... Novak's use of the words ..'operative' and 'hack...' might very well fit the man he sees in the mirror. Novak was the only one of six reporters who had this information......and Used it Jim Lerher found this note worthy...... (Novak declined the offer to appear on The News Hour and Explain his actions) T
