In the 1970s and much of the 1980s, "everything" new we bought was Made in Japan... Since the early 1990s, "everything" we have been buying has been Made in China... This too may change or at least slow down a bit.

if they did, they would realize that higher Chinese prices would result in escalation of trade gaps,
and would result in very little gains for our exporters
